Three men have been remanded in custody after being charged following the seizure of smuggled cigarettes on the MV Anto, docked in Dundalk Bay.

They are: Mr Robert Terence Tibbs, of Connington, London; Mr Frederick James Kerley, of Chatham, London; and Mr Terence Ivor Wall, of Butestown, Cardiff.

They are charged with attempting to evade customs duties due on approximately 80 million cigarettes estimated to be worth nearly £16 million.
