Windows 8 may not have been an instant hit, but the steady march of tablets with the operating system continues. The HP Omni 10 offers full Windows 8.1, rather than the RT version found on some tablets. The 10-inch tablet is compact enough to carry around. With a HD screen, an Intel Atom processor and about eight hours of battery, it switches between work and play with barely a hiccup. It's got 2GB of RAM and 32GB capability to store documents, images and applications. It lacks a keyboard attachment, but there is built-in Bluetooth.
