PwC Ireland has become the new title sponsor for the GAA All-Star awards as well as the Player of the Month awards in a four-year deal.

The Big Four accountancy firm will partner the GAA and the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) in the awards.

It takes over the title sponsorship from this years All-Star awards ceremony in November.

No value was put on the sponsorship though PwC described it as a “significant investment”. Speaking at the announcement, PwC managing partner Feargal O’Rourke said: “We are delighted to announce our continued support of Gaelic games and, in particular, the recognition of young Irish talent.

“We are proud to have several GAA players, including All-Stars Liam Rushe, Michael Quinlivan, Mattie Donnelly and Cian O’Sullivan come through our graduate programme to develop successful careers with PwC.

“We are very excited to come on board and look forward to celebrating the contribution of both the hurlers and footballers to the 2017 season at the All-Stars banquet in November.”
