Leinster expect Luke Fitzgerald to return for Glasgow

Leinster hope to have Luke Fitzgerald available for Friday's trip to Scotstoun to face Glasgow Warriors (7.35pm).

A groin strain forced the Ireland back to withdraw before the 29-29 draw with Ospreys at the RDS on Saturday, but that was "precautionary" and he "should be involved against Glasgow", according to the province.

His return will be timely, considering winger Darren Hudson suffered a hamstring injury against Ospreys and has been ruled out of the journey this week.

The management also “hope” to have a few more frontliners at their disposal, with “returning British & Irish Lions players set to come into the frame over the next couple of weeks”.
