Presuming Cardiff beat Connacht tonight Leinster will have to wait until tomorrow for an opportunity to wrap up the Magners Celtic League title with a win over the Newport Gwent Dragons at the RDS on Saturday.

Of course, if Connacht are beaten at the Sportground title celebrations and the send off for Keith Gleeson can begin before a ball is kicked.

Cardiff will not have a mind to roll over, however, and having lost out at the final hurdle of the previous two seasons there is a determination among the Leinster squad that no such thing will happen again. To that end, the return from illness of Shane Horgan will be welcome fillip.

Right wing Horgan will be outside a central combination of captain Brian O'Driscoll and Felipe Contepomi, with Girvan Dempsey at fullback, Rob Kearney on the left wing and a halfback pairing of Jonathan Sexton and Chris Whitaker.

Up front, injury has denied Cheika the services of lock Leo Cullen, so Trevor Hogan joins Malcolm O'Kelly in the secondrow.

Possibly the only ovation that might exceed a league win is the one due for flanker Gleeson, who makes his final home appearance for the province on the openside before heading home to Australia to rejoin the family business.

Shane Jennings and number eight Jamie Heaslip complete the backrow.

The frontrow is as familiar as ever with Ollie Le Roux - another destined for departure - joining player of the year Bernard Jackman and fellow prop Stan Wright.

Tickets are still available for the final home game of the season.
