New Zealand 60 Fiji 14:New Zealand warmed up for the forthcoming Tri-Nations series with a crushing 60-14 win over Fiji in bitterly cold Carisbrook.

Colin Slade, on his full debut, booted the Blacks into an early lead, before Sitveni Sivivatu flew over in the corner after some sustained early pressure.

More slick passing saw Andrew Hore rumble over out wide and Slade again added the extras to put the hosts 25-0 up before Adam Thomson burrowed over after Richie McCaw had been held up.
