Holt struck in the 56th minute, tapping in from close range after Kevin Doyle had intercepted an attempted clearance by Sligo goalkeeper Danny O'Leary. O'Leary was an inspirational figure for Sligo in the first half, producing a string of terrific saves to keep the eager Saints at bay.
