UCC forwards Keith Moran and Liam Murphy were the stars in this first-round Siegerson Cup tie win over DIT at Belfield yesterday.

Four points from Murphy gave them a 0-5 to 0-2 lead, before a late rally, led by Meath's Ronan Fitzsimmons, brought DIT level. However, Ian Twiss pointed late to leave UCC in front at the break.

After Murphy slotted over after only 30 seconds of the restart, it was plain sailing for UCC especially with Moran adding four well taken points.
