Stalemate was the outcome to this low scoring quarter-final match between St Muredach's, Ballina and St Joseph's, Galway at a very sodden Heffernan Park yesterday which hampered both sides.

On 27 minutes St Joseph's took the lead with a 29-metre penalty scored by right winger Killian Riddell. Six minutes into the second half St Muredach's levelled matters through out-half Brian Morrow's fine penalty from just inside the St Joseph's 22.
