HAMDAN Al MAKTOUM appears set to allow both Bint Salsabil and Bint Shadayid to take their chances in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket next Sunday. Their presence would boost the competitiveness of the first fillies' Classic in which they are the only entries other than odds-on Bosra Sham quoted at shorter than 16-1 by Ladbrokes and William Hill.
There were suggestions last week that Bint Salsabil - 5-1 second favourite for the 1000 Guineas with Ladbrokes - could be switched to the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches at Longchamp.
Willie Carson will have the choice of the two if they both line up at Newmarket, with Richard Hills taking the ride on the other one. Last year Carson's choice Aqaarid finished second to Harayir, the mount he rejected.
Bosra Sham, 2-5 Guineas favourite with Ladbrokes, continues to please Henry Cecil with her recovery from a bruised foot. After a canter on Saturday the trainer said: "She's fine this morning and the foot is healing."
