Galway 0-16 IT Sligo 1-5:Six points from Danny Cummins gave Galway their second win of the year after Peadar Seoighe's second-half goal had given the Sligo students a 36th-minute lead.

Cummins landed his first point in the fourth minute, and further points from Sean Armstrong (2), Cummins and Michael Martin gave Galway 0-5 to 0-3 interval lead.

After Seoighe’s goal put IT Sligo 1-3 to 0-5 ahead the Galway forwards took control and Cummins’ four second-half points were matched by Michael Martin as Galway eased to victory and a semifinal place against Sligo.
