Cork IT 4-13 Dublin IT 1-13:CORK IT clinched a home quarter-final following this convincing win over Dublin IT, who exit the competition, in Cork yesterday.

The visitors played with the howling wind in the first half, but could only lead by 1-10 to 2-4 at the break, Pat O’Connor and Michael Bowles scoring early goals for the winners. A second Bowles goal 90 seconds after the resumption was just the tonic for CIT, who added a fourth goal from Colin Fennelly near the end.

DIT could only manage three points in the second half.
