Sir, – The statistics are, as I understand it, that one is 36 times less likely to be in hospital with Covid-19 if double vaccinated. To most people it therefore makes sense not to gamble.
Might I suggest that the health service makes those unvaccinated and subsequently hospitalised responsible for some of the cost of their care.
A free bet seems rather too generous.
