Sir, – Simon Harris’s comment that the budget will be for “people who get up early”, repeated by Jack Chambers, and first mooted by Leo Varadkar, is both offensive and inane.
As the comment has now been repeated over a number of years it also suggests a Government lacking vision, imagination or understanding of the realities facing people every day. – Yours, etc,
