Sir, – In response to the advice to "dial back" our activities to prevent Covid spread, Orla Magorrian advises the National Public Health Emergency Team (Letters, November 6th) to "scale up" the number of beds available in our hospitals "so that daily case numbers of Covid do not matter so much".
Is she happy for victims of Covid to suffer so long as they can do so in comfort? Has she thought about the impact that Covid has on the hospital services. I certainly think it is better to listen to Nphet’s suggestion.
