Keeping memory alive by talking about the deceased with good words daily

Sir, – Eulogy comes from the classical Greek of “Eu” for praise/good and “logia” for words. So simply praise with words. With that in mind, does it really matter who says what?

At a recent funeral, I was touched not only by the lovely eulogy but also by the family’s promise to keep their memory alive by talking about them with good words every day.

That’s just as important. – Yours, etc,

JOAN BURGESS,

Annmount.
