The bodies of a 26-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter have been found at a house in Letterkenny, Co Donegal this afternoon.
Gardaí say they were found in a house at Whitethorn Close, Letterkenny shortly after 3pm.
The bodies were discovered after neighbours alerted the gardaí that the two had not been seen over the past few days.
The house has been sealed off for technical examination and the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis is en route to the scene.
Gardaí said there are no signs of foul play and are awaiting the results of the post mortem before making any further comment.
