A former loyalist paramilitary has been murdered in Glasgow.
Lindsay Robb (38) was jailed by Glasgow High Court in 1995 for ten years for his part in a UVF gun-running plot. He was was arrested while trying to buy pistols and sub-machine guns in Glasgow.
Robb, from Airdrie, was freed in 1999 under the terms of the Belfast Agreement.
He was a member of a Progressive Unionist Party delegation which held talks with the British government in 1995.
Robb died after what police described as a "frenzied" attack yesterday eveing in the Ruchazie area of east Glasgow. A motive for the attack has not yet been established.
