Two men were arrested this evening by members of the Garda Water Unit in Broadhaven Bay off the coast of Co Mayo.
The men, aged 23 and 51, were arrested under the Public Order Act and are being held at Belmullet Garda station.
A spokesman for the Gardai declined to give any further details.
