Two people have been killed in overnight incidents in Co Galway and in Co Down.
A man (27) was fatally injured when his car was involved in a two-car collision at Lough George in Co Galway.
A passenger in the car and the driver of the other vehicle were injured. Gardaí say the dead man, who has not yet been named, is from Galway city.
A woman was also killed when her car struck a tree on the Waringsford Road in Banbridge, Co Down. Her name has not yet been released.
