Two die in overnight road crashes

A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in north Dublin earlier today.

A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in north Dublin earlier today.

Gardai at Bridewell station are investigating the crash, which happened at 4am on the Phibsboro Road.

Three other people were also injured in the accident and have all have been taken to the Mater Hospital.

The victim of the crash, a man, is the 346th person to die on the State's roads this year.

Gardai are also investigating the death of a young woman in a crash in Co Meath yesterday evening.

The victim was a back seat passenger in a car which hit another vehicle.

Two other people were injured in the accident, which happened at 5.30pm at Bellinter Cross, Bellinter, Navan.
