Gardai in Tramore have launched an investigation after a man in his 30s died when his truck collided with a ditch in Kilmeaden, Tramore at 7.50 a.m.

He was brought to Waterford Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardai in Offaly are investigating a single vehicle car crash in which a 29-year-old woman died.

The crash occurred at 2.30 a.m. at Toberlaheen, Tullamore.

It is understood the woman died when her car left the road. She was pronounced dead at Tullamore General Hospital.
