A woman is due to go on trial at the Central Criminal Court later this week charged with impeding the inquiry into the murder of Rebecca French (30), a mother of two, who was found dead in the boot of a burning car on the outskirts of Wexford town on October 9th, 2009.

She had died from blunt force trauma to the head. Helen Connors (25), with an address at Belvedere Grove, Wexford, appeared in court yesterday, where she pleaded not guilty to the offence. A jury of eight men and four women was sworn in for the trial which is expected to get under way on Thursday.
