LONDON- Armed Forces Minister, Mr Nicholas Soames, faced Labour demands for his resignation in parliament yesterday following a damning report into the use of harmful pesticides by British forces in the Gulf War.

Labour's Dr David Clark accused Mr Soames of hiding behind officials after an internal Ministry of Defence inquiry found ministers were not to blame for misleading MPs over the extent to which organophosphates were used during the conflict.
