Senator warns of `meltdown'

A Fianna Fail/Progressive Democrats government could result in a "meltdown of public and community services", a Labour senator, Ms Ann Gallagher, claimed yesterday. A candidate in Cavan/Monaghan, she said the PDs' vision of Irish society in the next century was one "in which the needy are further disadvantaged to the benefit of the greedy".
