MEXICO CITY - Mexico's former president Mr Carlos Salinas De Gortari has said he plans to return to Mexico soon from self imposed exile in Ireland. "Shortly I will be in Mexico," he said in a interview with Processo magazine, published yesterday. "I don't want nor have any other destination."
Mr Salinas left the president's office in December 1994, at the peak of his popularity, but an economic crisis and the arrest of his brother on various criminal charges helped tarnish his image.
