Fergal O’Donnell’s Roscommon side to face Wexford in the All-Ireland football qualifiers on Saturday shows seven changes from the team that lost to Mayo in the Connacht semi-final.
Two of those are enforced, with David Casey and Karl Mannion sidelined therough injury, while defenders Paul Kelly and David Flynn and forwards John Dunning, Cathal McHugh and Conor Devaney drop to the bench.
Senan Kilbride and Cathal Cregg have recovered from injury to return to the full forward line alongside Fintan Cregg, while Cill Mor’s Derek Connellan starts at full forward.
Paul Gleesson, Sean Purcell and David Keenan will start in defence, with John Nolan switching to full back from the corner and Peter Domican moving from wing back to the centre.
Wexford manager Jason Ryan last night made one change to the side that recorded the county’s first win of 2009 in last week’s qualifier success against Offaly.
Kieran Kennedy of Cloughbawn starts his first championship game this year in place of Damien Carter. Shane Roche moves from full forward to wing forward with Shane Cullen now at full.
Redmond Barry starts at centre forward.
