Relics of saint on visit to Ireland

The relics of the French saint, St John Vianney, will be on a four-day visit to Ireland from the end of this week.

The relics of the French saint, St John Vianney, will be on a four-day visit to Ireland from the end of this week.

The relics will be on display in venues in Cork, Dublin, Knock and Armagh during the visit which takes place from April 25th to 29th. The visit is being arranged partly as a “Year for Priests” event as St John Vianney, who was also called the “Curé of Ars”, is the patron saint of parish priests. The public will be able to visit the relics in Cork at St Francis’s Church, Liberty Street (April 25th); the Church of St John Vianney in Ardlea Road, Artane, Dublin (April 26th); Knock Shrine (April 27th) and St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh (April 28th).
