Racing: Friday's meeting at Tipperary goes ahead after the track passed an 8am inspection this morning. Officials were forced to take a look due to the threat of waterlogging but they are satisfied with conditions at the venue, although there will be reduced fields for all races.

Irish Turf Club spokesman Cliff Noone said: "The track has been passed fit for racing following an inspection so tomorrow's meeting will go ahead.

"However, there will be a reduced safety limit of 14 runners in all races due to the ground and the stalls will not be in operation for the mile-and-a-half race but will be for the other races."

Races on the sprint course have already been abandoned but the Limerick Junction Handicap will be divided to form a six-race card.
