A Co Kildare housewife became ill two hours after eating corned beef she bought in a Quinnsworth store, a court heard yesterday.

Mr Shane English, counsel for Ms Yvonne Gibson (34), of Cherrywood, Celbridge, told Judge Dominic Lynch in the Circuit Civil Court his client had suffered vomiting and severe diarrhoea. Mr English said Ms Gibson had been awarded £1,250 in the District Court and Quinnsworth, of Main Street, Celbridge, had appealed the action. Judge Lynch affirmed the decree.
