Hanoi - The US Secretary of State, Mr Colin Powell, hinted after talks with his Chinese counterpart yesterday that at least one more US-based scholar jailed in China would be released soon.
Mr Powell did not specifically say who was being released but it is widely believed to be the scholar, Ms Gao Zhan, who was sentenced to 10 years' jail on Tuesday. Ms Gao suffers from a heart condition.
