London - The pilot of a holiday jet with 243 people on board aborted take-off from Glasgow airport yesterday after a suspected engine fire but no one was injured, an airport spokesman said.

He said the airport's main runway was closed for almost an hour after the Boeing B-757 jet from Airtours 2000 came to a halt at 11 a.m.
