The Orange Order in Portadown is to mark the 1,000th day of its Drumcree protest with a rally outside Hillsborough Castle in Co Down. The Deputy Grand Master of Ireland, Mr Alfred Lee, will address the gathering. A letter of protest will be delivered to the Northern Secretary, Dr John Reid.

Another demonstration will be held later at Park Road in Portadown, close to the nationalist Garvaghy Road.
