Mother's plea to missing daughter

THE mother of a missing teenager has pleaded with her to make contact

THE mother of a missing teenager has pleaded with her to make contact. Ms Ciara Breen (17), from Bachelors Walk in Dundalk appears to have left her home between midnight and 2 a.m. on February 12th. Gardai and the RUC are involved in a search for her.

Her mother, Ms Bernadette Breen, said. "She is my only daughter. We had gone to bed about 12.10 a.m. and I got up at 2 a.m. to go to the toilet and I looked in her bedroom and she wasn't there. She didn't take any money or clothes with her. It is as if she went to meet somebody and did not get back."

There have been a number of sightings of someone fitting the teenager's description. A claim that she was seen at a local disco on Valentine's night has not been substantiated.

According to her mother, Ciara has always wanted to meet her father. Her parents separated before her birth, but her father had made contact. He was in Ireland last week and wanted to meet Ciara, she said.
