Gardaí in Mayo are tonight investigating a serious road collision between a tractor and a van.
The crash occurred at Cloggernagh, Glenhest near Newport at 6.15pm. The driver of the van has been taken to Castlebar General Hospital where he is described as critical.
The road is currently closed for technical examination and is not expected to reopen until the morning, gardaí said. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
