A 20-year-old Co Clare man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a parked car in Lisdoonvarna this morning.
The accident happened at Rathbawn in Lisdoonvarna at around 2.45 a.m.
He was named this afternoon as Mr Declan McDonagh, from Doolin.
Meanwhile, a man and a woman are in hospital following a collision between their motorcycle and a car in Co Louth.
The accident happened on the main Dublin to Belfast road shortly after 3.00 a.m. The woman, who was the pillion passenger, is thought to be in a serious condition in Louth County hospital.
