A 29-year-old man was killed this afternoon when the van he was driving was involved in a crash with a car in at South Cairns, Co Sligo.
He has not been named.
Gardaí have also not yet named a 22-year-old woman pedestrian who was killed in Dublin this morning when she was hit by a car.
The incident occurred at around 8 a.m. on Beaumont Road in Churchtown.
