A man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a road traffic collision in Co Carlow on Monday.

A man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a road traffic collision in Co Carlow on Monday.

Thomas Chapman (31), Ballykerogue, Campile, New Ross, Co Wexford, was injured in a two-car collision near Bagenalstown.

He died at St Luke’s hospital in Kilkenny yesterday morning.

Mr Chapman’s funeral Mass will take place tomorrow at noon in St James’s Church Horeswood, Co Wexford.

He is the 94th person to have died on the roads this year, a reduction of 15 on the same period in 2009.
