A man is expected in court this evening charged in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in Co Cavan last night.
The 21-year-old victim was found with multiple stab wounds outside a house at Glenlara, in the Swellan area of Cavan last night.
The front garden of the property was sealed off after the body was discovered around 7.30pm yesterday.
A garda spokesman confirmed the man will appear before a special sitting of Cavan District Court at 7pm tonight.
A post mortem examination was due to be carried out today on the body. Officers earlier confirmed they were investigating the "suspicious death" of a 21-year-old woman outside a house in the Swellan, Cavan Town.
