Man dies from injuries after Co Laois crash

A man has died today as a result of the injuries he sustained in a car accident in Co Laois yesterday.

A man has died today as a result of the injuries he sustained in a car accident in Co Laois yesterday.

The 21-year-old's collided with a wall at New Inn, on the main Dublin Road at 7 a.m. yesterday.

The man - a native of Templetuohy, Co Tipperary - was initially removed to Portlaoise hospital but died after being taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin at 6.40 this morning.

Gardaí earlier named the cyclist killed in a collision in Co Laois on Wednesday. Mr Martin Hegarty (55) of Westfield, Castletown, Co Laois, died at the scene when he collided with a car at Castletown at 2.10 p.m.
