A man has been arrested this morning in relation to a sexual assault in the Portobello area of Dublin last Wednesday.

A man has been arrested this morning in relation to a sexual assault in the Portobello area of Dublin last Wednesday.

The assaulted woman, who is in her mid 20s and has special needs, was walking along the South Circular Road towards Harrington Street between 4pm and 4.15pm when she was approached by a man, described as being dark skinned with black hair and of a medium height.

Gardaí believe they both entered a building in Portobello around the South Circular Road/Richmond Street area.

The man (31) is currently being detained in Kevin Street Garda Station.
