Sanaa - A kidnapped British teacher and his family were freed by Yemeni tribesmen yesterday after being taken hostage on April 16th. Mr David Mitchell, his wife, Carolyn, and their 14-year-old son, Ben, were released after a pledge that kidnappers' demands for roads and schools would be met. On his release, local British embassy officials had to tell Mr Mitchell that his father had died last weekend.
