A 38-year-old man, who was the only member of a three-man gang arrested after a high-speed chase by gardaí near the Border, was jailed for eight months when he pleaded guilty to five charges of trespass and interfering with vehicles in the north Monaghan area on June 11th last.
Edward McDonagh of Park Close, Grange Rath, Drogheda, also pleaded guilty to a charge of having a metal-cutter in his possession for use in criminal activity.
McDonagh was arrested, while the other two escaped.
