A crew member on a fishing vessel has been airlifted to hospital in Galway following an accident 130 miles off the west coast today.
The coastguard helicopter based in Shannon was called to the scene.
It is understood the man suffered head injuries on board the vessel as it was fishing off the Co Clare coast.
