Paul and Maire Flynn have made their Tannery restaurant, in Dungarvan, into one of the great Irish restaurants, a magical mix of stunning cooking and sublime style and service in no time. But, not content with being the best on the block, the couple have now added a new private dining room downstairs in the restaurant. Designed by Denis Looby, who did the restaurant dining room, this is in an altogether different style to that room's lovely, lean minimalism: dark wood is used for the floors, there are tablecloths and armchairs and "it has an old-fashioned, clubby style", says Maire Flynn. It can accommodate up to 28 people.
