The former Meath full-forward Graham Geraghty has indicated he is ready to join midlands AIL rugby side Buccaneers.
The recently retired All-Star has been courted by a number of sporting codes since announcing his intention to quit GAA but it appears rugby, a sport he has never tried his hand at, has got the nod.
"I have had talks with Buccaneers rugby people and hope to start training with them over the next couple of weeks," he has said of the Division One side.
The 29-year-old had been linked to soccer side Drogheda United after manager Harry McCue indicated his interest. But Geraghty, who had a series of trials at Arsenal during George Graham’s tenure at Highbury, would seem to have opted for the rugby field.
