Gary Neville was tonight charged with misconduct by the
FA following an incident after Manchester United's FA Cup tie against West Ham at Old Trafford yesterday.
Having received the report of referee Paul Durkin, the FA have decided to bring the charge which, if proven, is likely to lead to a three-match ban.
"The FA can confirm that Gary Neville has been charged with misconduct following an incident after the Manchester United-West Ham United FA Cup tie," said an FA spokesman.

"He is alleged to have used foul and abusive language towards a match official.
"He has 14 days in which to respond to the charge."
