Gardai in Waterford are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the body of a woman who was taken from the sea at Tramore this morning at approximately 11 a.m.

The woman is between 40 and 50 years of age, 5'3" and of slim build. She waswearing a striped coloured round neck t-shirt, black trousers, navy paddedjacket and black shoes.

She had a black purse which contained keys to a Nissan Micra.

The car which has not been located is believed to be a silver 3-door automatic model.
