Five people have been killed in one of the bloodiest bank robberies in the US for a decade. Four employees and a customer were shot at the branch in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Police have arrested three suspects but say they are still searching for a fourth man.
The men allegedly stole two cars in their bid to escape, taking one at gunpoint.
Authorities have not said whether the gunmen got away with any money.
The suspects were stopped in a stolen vehicle in O'Neill, 120 kilometres west of Norfolk. They were identified by police as Jose Sandoval, 23, of Norfolk, and 21-year-olds Jorge Galindo and Erick Fernando Vela, both of Madison.
All three were charged with five counts of first-degree murder, which carries a potential death sentence in Nebraska.
A fourth man, Gabriel Rodriguez, 26, of Madison, is being hunted by Nebraska State Patrol.
Bank employees Lola Elwood, 43, Jo Mausbach, 42, Lisa Bryant, 29, Samuel Sun, 50 and customer Evone Tuttle, 37, were found dead at the scene.
