Members of the Ballynagran and Coolbeg Action Group held a party outside Wicklow County Council offices yesterday, to mark three years of' picketing council meetings.

The group is protesting against plans for a landfill dump on 300 acres of prime agricultural land south of Rathnew. They served mince pies and mulled wine to councillors.

The group recently lost a Supreme Court case against the proposed dump. Ms Judy Osborne said the group would now, concentrate on the next general election and hoped to make the dump issue top of the political agenda in Wicklow.
